Mitch Different, since childhood, has always had the drive to be an artist. In Mitch's lifetime he has studied art through books and school. Even today, he is constantly studying a book or a new technique. Always the student. Always learning. Not to be better than others, but to be better than himself.

Mitch is a descendant of a Germanic family named, Divrent, who Americanized the name in the early 1900s when they immigrated to the U. S. "Different" was the name that they had chosen. So, he was born with the name, Different. Many relatives have changed back to the original name, but Mitch feels that the name best represents him as an artist, and will always be "Different".

In the course of a diverse 28-year career in all aspects of illustration and design, from traditional art to digital mediums, Mitch Different has proven to be a skilled artist, visionary entrepreneur and an avid trouble-shooter and expert in Photoshop channel separations for screen printing. He has worked on the staff of a large retail clothing company. Part of the team whose success increased the sales 2500% in one year to over $20,000,000 in sales. Launched two of his own retail lines with investment partners. He is presently in the developmental stage of privately launching his own T-shirt line. Mitch owns his own freelance design company under his name; And is art director for one of the largest screen printing companies in the Houston area.

Mitch has developed his skills in many forms of art. He has learned many mediums. Fine art, graphics, illustration, old school production that has evolved into the digital mediums that he is well-known for. He has a long list of clients who he has freelanced for over the years.

Mitch holds no degrees, but is self taught and self disciplined on his own. He loves God, wife, sons, family, friends, happiness and life itself above everything else. After that comes the art.

His top interests are: Art, traveling, mountains, snow, skiing, skating, running, cooking, music, movies and theatre.
